Quentin Tarantino’s Film On The Manson Murders Likely To Have Roman Polanski In Key Role

Polish director Roman Polanski is likely to play a key role in Quentin Tarantino’s film on the infamous Manson House murder.

Charles Manson, the notorious leader of the Manson Family cult, had orchestrated the gruesome murder of pregnant actress Sharon Tate in 1969. Tate was married to Polanski then. Polanski was away at the time of her murder, who was nine months pregnant.

Polanski, now 83 years old, has been accused of abuse several times in the past. In 1977, he was arrested for the sexual assault of 13-year-old Samantha Gailey, who was modeling for Polanski during a Vogue magazine photo shoot around the pool. Polanski was indicted on six counts of criminal behaviour, including rape. He pleaded guilty to the charge of “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor,” and was ordered to undergo 90 days of psychiatric evaluation. His selection for the role will surely create a lot of buzz.

In support of actress Mira Sorvino and Harvey Weinstein, who he has worked with in the past, Tarantino said, “If I had done the work I should have done then, I would have had to not work with him.”

Rumours of Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Margot Robbie joining the cast had floated for a while, it was later announced that  Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the project.
