Pop singer Taylor Swift testified on Thursday in her lawsuit claiming that former Radio host, David Mueller sexually assaulted her at a concert.

On the third day of testimony in Denver, Colorado, Swift said that her security guard, Greg Dent, witnessed Mueller lift her skirt at the 2013 event. “He grabbed my a** underneath my skirt. He stayed attached to my bare a** cheek as I lurched away from him,” she said.

Mueller had earlier testified on Tuesday that he may have made innocent contact with Swift but denied any inappropriate behaviour, including groping.

Speaking about her experience after the alleged groping, Swift said she was stunned and tried to move away from Mueller as far as possible.

“I’m not going to allow you or your client make me feel in any way that this is my fault. Here we are years later, and I’m being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are the product of his decisions — not mine,” she said, words that have drawn massive support for her on social media.

Stephanie Simbeck, the photographer, is believed to have heard Taylor talk about the assault soon after it happened. Swift’s bodyguard and Simbeck are listed as potential witnesses. Following this incident, Swift and her team raised a complaint with Mueller’s bosses, who promptly fired him. Mueller was 51 years old at the time of the incident. Swift was 23.

Andrea Swift, Taylor’s mother, testified in front of the court on the third day of the trial. She pointed at Mueller and described him as the man who assaulted Taylor.

“I went into the dressing room and I saw her face. I could see that there was something horribly wrong. She said, “Mom, a guy just grabbed my ass. I wanted to vomit and cry at the same time.”

Andrea also said that as a result of this incident, they became more cautious about the way they operated during meet-and-greets.

KYGO manager Robert Call, who fired Mueller two days after the alleged incident, said he fired the DJ because of his shifting accounts of the incident, and because the photo showed that Mueller’s hand was “not where it was supposed to be.”
