Telugu director Kanmani, a former associate of director Saran, is making his directorial debut in Tamil with Peigal Jaakirathai. It was shot extensively in the locales of Chennai and Mahabalipuram.

As the movie name suggests, Peigal Jaakirathai is an interesting take on ghosts. The story revolves around a character who believes in ghost and another, who rubbishes the former’s beliefs. The two characters meet one day.
Starring newcomers Jeevarathnam and Eeshanya, this film is produced by G Ragavan of Sai Sarvesh Entertainment. Actors Thambi Ramaiah, Telugu actor Naresh, John Vijay, Manobala, Black Pandi, Aadukalam Jayabalan and Naan Kadavul Rajendran will be seen in supporting roles. Composer Maria Jerald will be scoring the music while Kabilan Vairamuthu and Viveka will be writing the lyrics.
