Telugu Film ‘Amma’ On Jayalalithaa Will Get A New Ending

The Telugu film based on the life of Jayalalitha will get a different climax now. Directed by Faisal Saif, who rose to fame with Main Hoon Rajinikanth, the film has actress Ragini Dwivedi essay the central role.

“A lot of changes have been happening as the NOC says we need permission for things shot in the film in case of any relevance. Besides, with her demise, we need to shoot the climax again. This is going to take some time till everything settles down,” Ragini told DC.

“I am in awe of her. What a leader and what a face of woman power she was!” she added.

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been cast as the antagonist in this film while actor Prashant Narayanan of Murder 2 fame is the male lead.

The makers reportedly changed the climax of the film when Jayalalithaa went to jail and was later released on bail. Now, with the sudden passing of Jayalalithaa on December 5, Faisal and his team are re-working the climax.

Plans are on to release the film in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam as well.
