Director Mohan Raja’s Thani Oruvan, which stars brother Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, has been given a U certificate without any cuts. The movie’s publicist has confirmed that Thani Oruvan will release in August. An earlier announcement had suggested that the film would release on August 14.
Actor Jayam Ravi tweeted to say that Thani Oruvan would stay close to his heart:

Actor Arvind Swami, who was last seen in the 2013 film Kadal, makes a comeback with Thani Oruvan. He is paired opposite Bollywood actress Mugdha Godse who essays the role of a model in the film. Director Mohan Raja had earlier spoken about how Thani Oruvan would always be a special film for him. Thani Oruvan’s music, composed by Hip Hop Adhi, has been positively received.
