Director Mohan Raja’s Thani Oruvan will be released on August 14 in over 450 theatres across Tamil Nadu. This marks the end of the director’s four year sabbatical. An August 14 release also means that Thani Oruvan will be in direct competition with director Rajesh’s Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga.
Recently, lead actor Jayam Ravi had announced that the audio launch of the film would be held on July 22. The launch had originally been scheduled for July 15, but was postponed for unknown reasons.
Thani Oruvan also features actress Nayanthara and Arvind Swamy in leading roles. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the technical crew includes music director Hip Hop Adhi, cinematographer Ramji, and editor VT Vijayan.
