Shooting of director Bala’s Tharai Thappattai has resumed after a brief hiatus. The team took a break for a while when actor Sasikumar, who plays the lead role, fractured his left arm during the shoot. The accident happened while canning a stunt sequence featuring Sasikumar and the villain.
The team will now shoot in the picturesque locations of Hyderabad, Goa and Tanjore. Actress Varalaxmi, who plays the female lead, tweeted:

Tharai Thappattai produced by B Studios is an Ilaiyaraaja musical. Sasikumar will be seen as a Nadaswaram expert while Varalaxmi will portray the role of a Karagattam dancer. Super Singer fame Pragati will make her debut in Tharai Thappattai as Sasikumar’s sister. Producer RK Suresh will be seen in a pivotal role.
