The Makers Gave Me A Challenge, ‘Cut It If You Can’: Editor Ruben On Hero

Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero, releases on Friday. The editor of the film, Ruben has said that he’s elated with the response so far. He was all praise when talking about the team behind the film, saying, “The credit goes to PS Mithran for his clarity of vision for his movie. Right from the beginning, we worked as a team with common ideas on how to present this film to the audiences.”

Speaking about the film as a whole, he added, “I really love the way PS Mithran conceptualises an idea that holds a social value and presents it engagingly. Hero will be a film that encompasses entertainment for the masses, but with a strong message.”

Addressing the perception that he is known for deleting songs and unnecessary tracks from films, Ruben said, “That makes me a little nervous. However, I am happy that directors trust my judgement and continue to work with me. With Hero, it was a pretty difficult task. The makers gave me a challenge ‘cut it if you can’.”

Another technical team member who is gushing about the upcoming film is the cinematographer, George C Williams. While interacting with the media about this film he said, “Working on Hero has been amazing. We all, as a team, had a common goal and I am really happy with how the film looks. Everyone has put their heart and soul into it.”

Hero releases on Friday, 20 December worldwide and stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. The film is directed by PS Mithran and produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh for KR Studios. Watch the trailer here:
