Members Of The Piracy Website Tamilrockers Arrested In Kerala

The Anti-Piracy Cell of Kerala police arrested members of the piracy website Tamilrockers on Wednesday. The website reportedly had several administrators who would upload new movies and run the website under different hosting companies.

Recently, Malayalam hits Pulimurugan and Ramaleela were uploaded on their website and the cops took action against them on the basis of these recent uploads.

Reports suggest that upon checking the accounts of Tamilrockers owner Karthik, the police found out that he earned over Rs 1 crore from uploading films alone. The DVDrocker’s owner had earned Rs 50 crore during the 2015-16 season. Their other bank accounts and financial sources are being examined.

Last year under the action taken by TFPC President Vishal, the admin of a popular piracy website Tamilgun.in was arrested in Chennai.
