Thirrupathi Brothers have denied buying the distribution rights for Kamal Haasan’s Thoongaavanam, contrary to earlier reports which suggested they had bought the rights for Chennai and the NSC area. A few weeks ago, a source close to the production house stated that Kamal Haasan would sell the rights of Thoongaavanam to the Thirrupathi Brothers in order to compensate for Uttama Villain’s losses. The Thirrupathi Brothers’ are currently awaiting the release of Rajini Murugan, Idam Porul Yaeval, and Jigina.
