Putting rest to speculations, actor Kamal Hassan announced that his next film, which is to be directed by his long-term associate Rajesh, has been titled as Thoongavanam. Shooting of this thriller will kickstart on May 24th in Hyderabad.
Kamal Hassan, in a video message, confirmed this and revealed the names of the technicians working in the film. Cinematographer Sanu Varghese, who worked in Vishwaroopam, will be joining hands with Kamal Hassan again in Thoongavanam.

As reported earlier, music director Ghibran will be scoring the tunes for this film. Thoongavanam marks the fourth time partnership of Ghibran and Kamal Hassan. Editor Vijay wil be taking care of the editing department.
Further, Kamal Hassan added that the cast of the Thoongavanam will be announced in the coming weeks. Actress Trisha has been roped in to play the female lead in this film.
Earlier, there were several reports suggesting that this film was titled Ore Iravu.
