Tik Tik Tik Trailer Out: Jayam Ravi Has A Mission On Hand In This Space Thriller

Dubbed as India’s first ever space film, Jayam Ravi’s Tik Tik Tik trailer is out.

The film’s shooting took place at Chennai’s ECR, where a space shuttle set was erected. Ravi plays Vasu, an astronaut. Other cast members include Arjun Nandhakumar, the female lead Nivetha Pethuraj and Ramesh Tilak, who all play astronauts too.
Director Shakti Soundar Rajan had earlier said that it was challenging for him to explore the genre within the commercial cinema format.
“In this genre, to crack a story that everyone understands is really tough. What’s even more challenging is to put space in a commercial set up. There are not too many elements to play with when you’re in space,” Shakti had told IANS.
A huge fan of Grindhouse movies by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, the director had said that as part of the research, the spoke to a retired scientist from ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). He calls it a “men on a mission” kind of film, and assures it’s not a “dry science-fiction film”.
