S.A. Chandrasekar makes a grand comeback to the big screen with a hard-hitting biopic of the popular activist Traffic Ramasamy.
In case you didn’t know about Traffic Ramasamy, he is the man who is known for filing the maximum number of cases regarding several issues at the Madras High Court. Ramasamy gained popularity when he filed a PIL in 2013 against the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, late J Jayalalithaa asking the court to remove the name ‘Amma’ from government schemes.
Directed by debutant director Vijay Vikram, the film also has a strong cast, which includes Rohini, Prakash Raj, R.K.Suresh, Upasana, Imman Annachi, Ambika, Vijay Antony, S.Ve.Shekhar and Kasthuri.
Rohini plays SAC’s spouse while R.K. Suresh and Upasana play the lead pair. Vijay Antony, S Ve Shekar, Kasthoori, Manobala and Madan Bob make their presence in interesting cameos.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Prakash Raj, who plays the role of a power-packed cop, said: “It is a strong role and I consider it to be a big honor to be part of the film, which is about a well-known and a fearless social activist Traffic Ramasamy sir.”
And last but not the least, Vijay Sethupathi’s cameo roles are not a new thing for Tamil movie buffs. After making memorable special appearances in the past in films like Imaikkaa Nodigal, Katha Nayagan, and Jigarthanda, Traffic Ramasamy is the latest addition to his hit list.
The film is slated for release this year.
