Trisha To Sing In Nayagi

Trisha, who has been an actress for over 12 years, will now debut as a singer in her upcoming film Nayagi. At the film’s pooja held earlier today, music director Raghu Kunche said that Trisha would sing a song in the film. Trisha added, “Even in interviews, I used to refuse requests to sing even a few lines, because I was afraid of singing. But now, the pressure is on Raghu to make sure the song sounds good.”

Nayagi is a horror comedy directed by Govi Goverdhan, and will feature Trisha in a completely new avatar. True to the film’s posters, Trisha will be seen in a retro-80s look throughout the movie. However, she clarified that this was not a period film. Apparently, Trisha had been so impressed with the storyline, that she had made up her mind to do the film five minutes into Gopi’s narration of the script. Director Govi said that Trisha’s role in the film would be as powerful as that of Padayappa.

Nayagi is being produced by Giridhar Production House. In addition to directing, Gopi has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues. Starring Trisha, Ganesh Venkatraman, Jayaprakash, and Brahmanandam, Nayagi is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and has music by Raghu Kunche.
