During an interaction with journalists at the press meet of Sakalakalavallavan, Trisha revealed that it was her 48th film. On questioned about her 50th, Trisha said that she didn’t know whether it would be Thoongavanam or Aranmanai 2 as both films are 90 percent complete.
Trisha debuted with Mounam Pesiyathey in 2002 and completed her 12th year in Kollywood recently.
Aranmanai 2 is the sequel to last year’s box office hit, Aranmanai. Starring Siddharth, Trisha, Hansika, Poonam Bajwa and Soori in lead roles, the movie is produced under Khushbu’s AVNI Cinemax banner. Hip hop Aadhi composes music.
Directed by Rajesh M Selva, Thoongaavanam stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Madhu Shalini, Asha Sharath, Yugi Sethu, Kishore and Sampath. The film is an official remake of French film Sleepless Night (2011).
