Tulasi on Sankarabharanam

Recommended

Tulasi might have left an impression on the Tamil audience with her ‘mom’ roles in films such as Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer, but the actress was also a part of the cult classic, Sankarabharanam. Speaking about her role, Tulasi said, “I was very young when I acted in the film. And it was such a different experience because I played a boy in the movie and perhaps, even then I realised that I was part of something really special. The film holds a very important place in my life and career, and I will always treasure it. Not because it brought me fame, but for its bold and daring content.”

Tulasi is still in awe of KV Mahadevan’s compositions for Sankarabharanam and is happy that someone took the initiative to re-record the twelve songs. The film releases in Tamil on October 2.
