Debutant director Srinath Ramalingam’s upcoming film Unakkenna Venum Sollu has been given a U/A certificate by the Censor Board, and is now scheduled to release on September 17, the day of the Vinayaga Chathurthi festival. Vijay’s Puli releases on the same day. Producer and distributor Mahesh of Auraa Cinemas said he was confident that Unakkenna Venum Sollu would make an impact for its screenplay and direction.
Unakkenna Venum Sollu, formerly titled Daisy, is a horror film revolving around motherhood and social preconceptions. The filmmakers had earlier obtained permission from director Gautham Menon, producer AM Rathnam, and actor Ajith to use the title ‘Unakkenna Venum Sollu’.
