Upen Patel, who acted in the the Tamil film I, starring Vikram, will make his Telugu debut with Chuttalabbayi. The model-turned-actor will be playing the antagonist. Speaking about the performance scope with negative characters, Upen told Hyderabad Times, “If written and portrayed well, negative characters can bring out a spectrum of human frailties.” Crediting Shankar’s I for opening up avenues for him in Southern cinema, he said he was excited about Chuttalabbayi. The film is likely to be a family entertainer, and stars Aadi and Namitha Pramod.
