Vaalu will hit screens on December 24. The film has been in the works for a while now and has been hit by delays – production and otherwise. Starring Silambarasan and Hansika Motwani, the comedy entertainer is about a young man from North Madras and is the directorial debut of Vijay Chander.
With this film, Silambarasan’s two-year long hiatus from Tamil cinema comes to an end (his last venture was Poda Podi, which released in November 2012). We hear that the dubbing work is currently underway. Reports also indicate that actor Jai will make a special appearance in the movie.
