Comedian Vadivelu will next be seen in the Tamil remake of the Kannada Film Shivalinga, written and directed by P Vasu. Earlier, it was announced that Ritika Singh would play the female lead in the film, opposite Raghava Lawrence.

Vadivelu has worked with director P Vasu in Chandramukhi, and with his son Sakthi Vasu in his debut film Thottal Poo Malarum’.
The film is produced by R.Raveendran of Trident Arts banner. P Vasu had also written and directed the original, which had Shivrajkumar and Vedhika in the lead roles. The Kannada film, recently, completed a 100-day run at the theatres. This crime-thriller will be shot in Bengaluru, Mysore, Mumbai and a few other locations in India. The team is eyeing a Pongal 2017 release.
