Lyricist Vairamuthu celebrates his 60th birthday on July 13. The Vetrithamizh Peravai is celebrating Poet’s Day on the same date and will be felicitating the Kaviperarasu on his Padma Vibushan at a grand event in Coimbatore. Interesting events have been planned throughout the day to honour Vairamuthu, including a symposium on his creations and lectures on his most famous works like Kallikkattu Idhikaasam, Karuvachi Kaviyam and Mondram Ulagappor. Directors K Balachander, Mani Ratnam, Bharathiraja and KS Ravikumar are expected to attend.
