Valiyavan is in the final stages of shooting and is shaping up to be a ‘complete action entertainer’. The climax portions of the film are being shot on a huge budget – sources estimate it to be nearly one crore. Speaking about the film, director Saravanan revealed, “Valiyavan is ninety percent romance. Only the remaining ten percent is action. Even the action sequences are there only because of the romance part. This movie won’t be like my earlier one – Ivan Vera Maathiri.”
Actor Jai has beefed up to play the lead role in this film while Andrea plays his love interest. This is the second project together for the hit Engeyum Eppodhum duo – Saravanan and Jai – after a good three years. “Ivan Vera Maathiri did not turn out the way I expected it to. People didn’t appreciate it when it released, but now they watch it on television and tell me how brilliant the action sequences are. I think Valiyavan will make up for the disappointment,” he added.
