The teaser of Silambarasan starrer Vandha Rajavadhan Varuven, directed by Sundar C, was unveiled today. The teaser features STR as a charming young man, waiting for the love of his life.
The two minute and nine seconds teaser begins abroad, with the voice of STR saying, Enna nambi kettavanga yaarume illa, Nambama kettavanga neriya per irukanga. (People who trust me don’t lose. Many who don’t trust me, do lose)
STR then gets out of a fancy car, puts on stylish shades, swaggers over to the centre of the screen. Immediately after he is seen fighting with, even as the super ‘The King Arrives’ flashes across.
The teaser also features actors Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, Catherine Tresa, Megha Akash, VTV Ganesh, ‘Motta’ Rajendran, Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu and others. It features a remixed old song, a Sundar C touch. A few chases, fights. The teaser portrays STR as ‘A Badass with a broken heart’. It appears the film will be an out and out commercial comedy entertainer
Produced by Lyca productions, the film has music composed by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi.

The director told Silverscreen that the hero of his film will embody the spirit of the youth today. “The hero is in tune with himself and with the scenario he finds himself in. He is not immature or naive. He is the complete man. It’s not just for STR fans. It is for everybody. That’s what I told Simbu when we first spoke about the movie. Vantha Rajava Thaan Varuven has something for everybody.”
Shoot of the film began earlier this year, with Silambarasan and Sundar C travelling to Bulgaria to shoot the introduction song. Much of the filming has been completed. The team is gearing up to move onto post-production soon as the makers are planning to release the film for Pongal 2019.
