Varalaxmi, Shraddha Srinath Join the Cast of Vikram Vedha

Actresses Varalakshmi and Shraddha Srinath have joined the cast of Vikram-Veda. The film has actors Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the lead roles. It was recently revealed that actor Kathir, of Kirumi fame had joined the cast of this film, which will be centered around north Chennai.

Madhavan reportedly plays an encounter specialist in the project, while Vijay Sethupathi plays a gangster.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar started the year with bang with her performance in Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai being praised by all. She will be seen in Arun Vaidyanathan’s Nibunan and the horror thriller Ammayi.

Shraddha Srinath, popular for the Kannada film U Turn, will be seen in Nivin Pauly’s Tamil remake of Ulidavaru Kandanthe, Mani Rathnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai and Gautham Karthik’s Ivan Thandhiran.

Apart from these actors, Vikram Vedha will have Prem, Achyuth Kumar, Hareesh Peradi, Vivek Prasanna and John Vijay in the supporting cast.

Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, Vikram Vedha will be loosely based on the heroic feats of King Vikramaditya and the fables of Vikram/Vedalam.

The film will have music composed by Sam CS and cinematography by PS Vinod. The film, produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios has gone on floors today.
