The theatrical rights for Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattadhaari have reportedly been secured by P Madhan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures for an undisclosed sum. Produced by Wunderbar Films, the out-and-out commercial flick features Amala Paul, Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan, with special appearances by Siva Karthikeyan and Anirudh Ravichander. Popular cinematographer Velraj has directed the film, while Anirudh has composed music. And speaking of which, the movie’s soundtrack has received mostly favourable reviews ever since its release, stoking anticipation among Dhanush’s fans. VIP also has the distinction of being Dhanush’s 25th movie and will likely release by the end of April 2014.
