Venkat Prabhu Likely To Reunite With Chennai 600028 Team

Director Venkat Prabhu, who received mixed reviews for his last film, Masss Engira Maasilamani, is in script discussions for his next film. According to a report from The Hindu (Tamil), the director will reunite with the Chennai 600028 team of actors for his next film. The film is expected to be a completely new script, and not a sequel to Chennai 600028.

The film is expected to be bankrolled by Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures. An official confirmation is still awaited. Currently, Venkat Prabhu and his brother Premgi Amaren are in Malaysia.

Chennai 600028 was Venkat Prabhu’s debut directorial, and featured Mirchi Shiva,Jai, Premgi Amaren, Nithin Sathya, Vijay Vasanth, Aravind Aakash, Ajay Raj, Prasanna, Ranjith, Arun and Karthik. Subsequently, the actors have appeared in at least a blink-and-miss role in films like Goa, Saroja, Mankatha and Biriyani.
