Ghose’s book brings out the life and times of Indira Gandhi as the first woman Prime Minister of India, also deals with turbulent times like the 1975 Emergency and the Operation Blue Star. Known for taking some of the boldest and controversial decisions in politics, the book has Ghose highlighting and decoding the former Prime Minister and her relationships with her family, colleagues, and her public persona.

Reportedly, the movie adaptation of the book, which was published last year by Juggernaut Books, was pitched by the publishers to the film and screen community at the Word to Screen Market 2017, organised by the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
