Nearly two months after Vidya Balan hinted at a collaboration with Kabali director Pa Ranjith’s next film with Rajinikanth, the actress has reportedly walked out of the project. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the makers are searching for a seasoned actress to replace Balan in the film.
Reports indicate that the actress could not allot the dates required by Ranjith’s team for the film. Her replacement is rumoured to be another actress from Bollywood, who is usually known to star in off-beat roles.
This new project is produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films, and will mark Rajinikanth’s and Pa Ranjith’s second collaboration after last year’s August release Kabali. Santosh Narayanan, who was also the music composer for Kabali, is on board for this one. The composer recently confirmed the news.
