Vijay Antony has been approached to play the lead in Pagalavan. Written and directed by Seeman, the film was originally offered to actor Vijay, who backed out of it because of its strong political content. Jayam Ravi was also offered the lead role. He, too, chose to pass on the offer.

The film has been in the works since 2011. According to reports, the film’s male lead is a revolutionary who wants to weed out the bad guys from TN politics. As such, the script is said to contain several references to the dominant political parties in Tamil Nadu right now. This is said to be the main reason the film has been unable to begin production for so many years.
Kalaipuli S Thanu produces the film through his V Creations. An official announcement on Vijay Antony’s casting is expected soon.
Meanwhile, Vijay Antony will be seen playing dual roles in Annadurai. He also has Kaali, which is expected to begin production soon.
