Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s much anticipated film Taxiwaala was to release in May. In fact, just in the anticipation of the film, the team also released a teaser and a promotional video that was conceptualized by the actor himself along with his team of advisors.
But it looks like the “high concept stressbuster” will have to wait a bit before hitting the big screen. Turns out the film, which touches on various genres like comedy, romance, supernatural thriller and crime alongside entertainment is high on graphics and the makers want to take time to bring it to the audience in perfect shape.
“The team was initially confident of making it in time for a release in mid-May. However, with a lot of graphics necessary for the desired ultimate effect, the makers decided to take a while before releasing the film,” shares a source from the film’s unit.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is now set to release in June. An official date of release is yet to be announced. Starring Priyanka Jawalkar as the female lead and Malavika Nair in a key cameo, the film is a joint production of UV Creations and Geetha Arts’ GA2. SKN is the film’s producer.
