Vijay Sethupathi Signs His Next With Debutant Venkata Krishna Roaganth

Vijay Sethupathi has signed his next film with debutant director Venkata Krishna Roaganth, a former assistant of Jananathan of Peranmai and Purambokku fame.

According to a report, Sethupathi plays a musician in the film. The story focuses on music and a social issue. It is reportedly set during Christmas, and a huge set of a 150-year-old church has been erected for shoot. This news was also confirmed by the production house recently.

Sethupathi had earlier played a musician in Puriyatha Puthir, directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi. His new film is being made on a big budget, produced by Isakki Durai for Chandra Arts. Music is composed by Nivas K Prasanna. It will go on floors in March this year, and the shoot will take place in various parts of Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Rajinikanth starrer Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is awaiting Super Deluxe directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. He will be seen as transwoman Shilpa in the film. It stars Samantha Akkineni, Fahad Fazil and others.

Sethupathi also has Kadaisi Vivasayi, a drama directed by M Manikandan, and a yet-to-be-titled film with SU Arunkumar. He has Maamanithan, his fourth collaboration Seenu Ramasamy. Idam Porul Yaeval with Seenu Ramasamy also awaits release. It is said that they might work on another film after this. The team is preparing for the shoot scheduled in Kerala.

Apart from Tamil films, Sethupathi will be seen making his Telugu debut in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, alongside Chiranjeevi, directed by Surender Reddy. It is produced by Ram Charan Teja, and the story is based on the life of the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy from Rayalaseema.

Sethupathi is making his Malayalam debut in the film Marconi Mathayi, directed by Sajan Kalathil. This film is currently in the pre-production stage.
