Vijay Vasanth Joins Mohan Raja’s ‘Velaikkaran’

Actor Vijay Vasanth of Achamindri fame has reportedly joined Mohan Raja’s film Velaikkaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, and Fahadh Faasil. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Vijay will play the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s friend in the film.

The film will deal with a young man’s struggle against food adulteration. Vijay, who is currently shooting for the film My Dear Lisa, will begin filming for this role in Chennai soon. The team is likely to travel to Malaysia for a 35-day schedule, after shooting in Chennai. 

Vijay Vasanth, who debuted in Tamil cinema with Chennai 600028 in 2007, has been a part of several big movies including Samuthirakani’s Naadodigal (2009), Mankatha (2011), Nanban (2012), Masss (2015), and Vetrivel (2016).

A source revealed that his role in Velaikkaran would be a crucial one, and he will star alongside actors like Sneha, Prakash Raj, Thambi Ramaiah, Rohini, Sathish, RJ Balaji, Yogi Babu and Robo Shankar.
