Vijay Visits Technician Injured During The Shooting Of ‘Thalapathy63’

A technician working on the sets of #Thalapathy63, Vijay’s upcoming movie with Atlee, was injured when a focus light fell on him on Tuesday night. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital nearby where the actor visited him today.

According to The News Minute, the focus light fell on electrician Selvaraj, who was standing right beneath it. The incident occurred at a set erected in Tiruvallur. Photos and videos of the actor visiting Selvaraj at Ramachandra Hospital went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, multiple reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in to play the main antagonist in the film. However, talking to Silverscreen, the official spokesperson for the movie denied these reports. But the speculation shows no sign of dying down, especially since Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee have recently been seen together a couple of times.

Last month, it was reported that a huge set of Gurugram police station was erected in Chennai’s Royapettah for the shooting. This, along with the fact that producer Archana Kalpathi, editor Ruben and director Atlee started following SRK on Twitter, led people to believe that the Bollywood star was part of the movie and would play a cop.

Thalapathy 63 will be lighter than Vijay’s previous films, the actor revealed recently. This is his third film with Atlee after Theri and Mersal, both big-budget movies. Vijay reportedly plays a sports coach in the film. The film features a big star cast, including Kathir, Vivekh and Yogi Babu. It is produced by Archana Kalpathi under the banner of AGS Entertainments.

AR Rahman is the music composer for the project, and Vivek is the lyricist. As for the rest of the crew, Atlee has chosen the Mersal team, including stunt director Anal Arasu and art director Muthuraj.
