The shooting of actor Vijay’s next film commenced with pooja today. The film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has earlier directed Managaram and Kaithi. Anirudh is composing the music, collaborating with Vijay for the second time after Kaththi. Sathyan Sooriyan and Philomin Raj have been signed as the cinematographer and editor respectively.
The film has an ensemble cast starring Vijay Sethupathi, Malayalam actor Antony Varghese and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj. Malavika Mohanan will be romancing Vijay for the first time.

Xavier Britto who has produced 3 films – Senthoorapandi, Deva and Rasikan, starring Vijay is joining hands for the fourth time with XB Film Creators in producing Vijay’s 64 film.
The film tentatively called Thalapathy 64 is scheduled to have a Summer 2020 release.
