Rana Daggubati and Vekatesh will play Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s roles, in the Telugu remake of Vikram Vedha.
Earlier, Silverscreen reported that the film will be remade in Telugu, with producer Sashikanth telling us, “Too early to reveal any details about the remake. But yes, talks are on for the remake. For now, nothing is confirmed.”
But now, IANS reports (via The Hindu) that things have gone ahead with Rana and Venkatesh. A source says, “Talks have been initiated with Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh for Telugu remake. They were the first choice even before the release of Vikram Vedha. However, nothing has been finalised yet and the process might take a few more months.”
The Tamil film directed by Gayatri and Pushkar, which released last week, has already made Rs 40 crore, according to some reports. There are also talks of a Hindi remake, with Madhavan perhaps returning to star in it.
