Actor Vikram has finally opened up about the controversy surrounding his film I. Speaking to The New Indian Express, Vikram said, “It is nothing against transgenders or any other community. For that matter, there’s also a character in the movie who is a doctor (played by Suresh Gopi); in which case the entire doctor community should feel bad. What we have shown in the movie doesn’t hold true for all transgenders, doctors, models or businessmen. It’s just another character in the film.”
Vikram is also happy about the good reception that I has received in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, the film has grossed over Rs.19.5 crores in Andhra Pradesh and has raked in over Rs. 120 crores worldwide.
