Vinaya Prasad To Debut As Director With ‘Laxminarayanara Prapanchane Bere’

Vinaya Prasad, who played Chempankott Sridevi in Manichitratazh, and Allu Arjun’s mother in Sarainodu, will debut as director with a Kannada film, Laxminarayanara Prapanchane Bere.


TOI reported that the film is a comedy, the script for which is written by her husband Jyoti Prakash Atre. Shooting begins first week of April. “I found the subject interesting and so decided to take it up as a challenge. I always had an eye on the technical aspects of filmmaking. I have a good team of technicians to support me. My husband, who has been a creative head for many ad agencies with rich experience in theatre, is my support,” said Vinaya.

Vinaya will star in the film along with Manjunath Hegde. Jyoti Prakash, and daughter Prarthana will make cameo appearances. The film revolves around a husband and wife, and is billed as a family entertainer with a social message. 

Meanwhile, Vinaya is currently shooting for Malayalam serial Ammunte Amma.
