Vinayakan Recommended For National Award For ‘Kammatipadam’

Actor Vinayakan was recently conferred with the Best Actor award at the State Film Awards in Kerala for his performance in Kammatipadam. A report in The News Minute states that the actor has now been recommended by the Regional Jury for a National Award as well.

Kammatipadam is a Malayalam-language crime-drama that portrayed the pull of violence through various stages. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan as Krishnan and Vinayakan as Ganga, Krishnan’s friend from a dalit family.

The award is an unconventional choice as the main lead in the film is Dulquer Salmaan. However, Vinayakan’s character Ganga was seen as the crux of the plot and the one that keeps the movie going.
