Actor Vishal, in an interview to a private channel, announced that he will be contesting in the upcoming South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) election. The actor also stated that he will be contesting against actor Radha Ravi, while actor Nasser will be contesting for the post of president against actor-politician R Sarath Kumar (incumbent president).
Actors Vishal and Nasser have raised their voice against the Nadigar Sangam several times, especially regarding the Nadigar Sangam building. Recently, they both filed a petition in Madras High Court seeking help to postpone the election and to appoint to retired judges to monitor the election.
Ahead of the election, Vishal and Nasser have sought the help of Naadaga Sangam.
