A report in Deccan Chronicle states a source:  “The National Award winning director has his eyes on Twelfth Night, a comedy written by Shakespeare in the 17th century. The play is still a favourite amongst literature lovers.”

The 51-year-old director may take the liberty to add Bollywood elements to it. Vishal’s Maqbool (based out of Macbeth), Omkara (Othello), Haider (Hamlet) have all been well received by critics and movie-goers alike.

His last outing, Rangoon which starred Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan in the lead was an original screenplay and failed to create ripples in the box office.
