‘Vivegam’ Postponed To August 24; Makers Plan To Release Tamil, Telugu Versions On Same Day

Ajith’s Vivegam, which was scheduled to hit the screens on August 10, has now been postponed to August 24. The film was certified U/A by the censor board yesterday. A source close to the production house told Silverscreen, “The work on the film is over and there is no delay in the post-production. The makers are planning to release the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film on the same day. While the Tamil version was censored yesterday, the Telugu film is yet to be certified. Also, it will take a few more days to receive the copy of the censor certificate. As the makers wanted to avoid the last-minute rush, they decided to postpone the release, and work leisurely.”

Director Siva took to Twitter to confirm the release date. He tweeted:

Vivegam features Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, and Akshara Haasan in a supporting role. Vivek Oberoi plays the villain. Anirudh has scored the music.
