WATCH: Elan’s Impressive Pilot Trailer Builds Curiosity For A Film That Could Have Been

On Friday, the pilot trailer of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal director Elan‘s unreleased film Graghanam was released. While the film did not see a release due to various unknown reasons, the makers had decided to release the test shoot trailer for viewing purposes.

Bankrolled by IB Karthikeyan under his Big Print Pictures banner, the film starred Aadhav Kannadasan, Arjai, Jhanvi, Karunas, Pandian, Lallu, IB Karthikeyan, Vijay Ram, and several others. Sree Saravanan had handled the camera, Mani Kumaran Shankara on the edit, Seenu on art, and Sundaramurthy KS on music.

The trailer was released by composer-singer Yuvan Shankar Raja.

We first see IB Karthikeyan running and hiding from someone on a road and then a cop Karunas who is at a crime scene informing a higher official regarding the death of a woman. While these two seem to be happening at the same spot, we’re parallelly introduced to Aadhav consoling his girlfriend at a supermarket that he plans to loot.

What follows is the men holding out guns to the camera, two women crying out in fear, a random gunshot, different people fearfully seated in the driving seat of what seems like the same car, and finally a woman in the bathtub scoffing at a bunch of people for their foolishness. Though only little sense can be made of this, the trailer hints at a potential promising thriller.

In a tweet, Elan mentioned that the trailer reportedly shot in one-night paved the way for his first film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. Yuvan was reportedly impressed with the trailer and agreed to produce PPK. Elan also added that the trailer isn’t the sign of an upcoming film and is a mere pilot trailer from five years ago.

It is noteworthy that actor Harish Kalyan had also shared the trailer on his Twitter handle.
