As the weekend inches closer, a new set of films, documentaries and series have lined up for release on streaming platforms this week. Here is a list of 10 binge-worthy shows and films that are releasing this week on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, and AltBalaji.

  1. If Anything Happens I Love You -Netflix (November 20)

Written and directed by Will McCormack and Michael Govier, the illustrated animated short film takes us through the journey of grieving parents in an emotional void as they mourn the loss of a child in the aftermath of a tragic school shooting.

2. Middle Class Melodies- Amazon Prime Video (November 20)

A Telugu comedy-drama film, Middle Class Melodies is directed by debutante Vinod Ananthoju and stars Anand Devarakonda and Varsha Bollamma. The story is about how Raghava, who runs a breakfast centre in his village, dreams of starting a small hotel in a nearby city.

3. Dark 7 White Zee5 and Alt Balaji (November 24)

Starring Sumeet Vyas, Nidhi Singh, Jatin Sarna, and Monica Chaudhary, this political thriller series follows a police investigation after a newly-elected chief minister gets murdered in broad daylight.

4. Notes for My Son / El Cuaderno de Tomy -Netflix (November 24)

This Spanish drama film narrates the story of a woman battling terminal cancer. Based on a true story, the film captures the woman writing a notebook about life, death, and love for her son to remember her by.

5. Mismatched– Netflix (November 20)

This Hindi series follows the lives of two teens and how after a disastrous set-up by their families, strike up a friendship at their summer program. But will their deeper feelings come to play a crucial role later? The series stars YouTuber Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf.

6. Marvel 616– Disney+ (November 20)

Ever wondered what goes behind the making of Marvel characters? Marvel 616 explores Marvel’s legacy of pioneering characters, creators, and storytelling. Each documentary is by a different filmmaker and shows intersections of storytelling, pop culture, and fandom within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

7. Uncle Frank– Amazon Prime Video (November 25)

A family drama, the story centres around a road trip with Paul Bettany as the titular character, his partner, and a niece played by Sophia Lillis. She discovers that her uncle is gay and accompanies him on a trip to see his family in the wake of his father’s death.

8. The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two Netflix (November 25)

Starring Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Darby Camp, The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two is about how a teenager, who is unhappy, over her mother’s new relationship, runs away and lands at the North Pole, where a naughty elf is plotting to cancel Christmas.

9. The Pack– Amazon Prime Video (November 20)

This reality show takes viewers on a global adventure with 12 teams of dogs and their humans as they compete in fun and exciting challenges for a prize worth $750,000.

10. Flavorful Origins: Gansu Cuisine Netflix (November 20)

The third season of this culinary show goes on a delightful journey, and explores the traditions of China and uncovers the stories of the people who create and cherish its dishes.
