Words ‘Sait Ji’ To Be Deleted From The Film Meesaiya Murukku

In response to a complaint by Shri All India Shwethambher Sthanakwasi Jain Conference, the producer of Meesaiya Murukku has said that the words ‘Sait Ji’ will be deleted from the film. On the 28th of October, the film’s promotional music video titled ‘Sait Ji’ was released. The video features Aadhi, of Hip Hop Tamizha, and a group of musicians singing about Marwari traditions and food habits.

The song even impressed director Shankar.

In a letter written to Dr. Ashok Lodha of the Jain conference, Sundar C says:

“I state that I am in the cine field for the past 25 years and it was not my intention to hurt any feelings of any community, and in the past 25 years, I have not done the same. However, taking into your representation on the meeting held with the people of your community, the word Sait Ji will be deleted from the feature film.”

Meesaiya Murukku marks the debut of music composer Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi as an actor and director. The film is allegedly based on incidents from Aadhi’s life. Aathmika is the female lead in the project, while Vivekh plays Aadhi’s father.
