Yatchan, which hit the screens on Friday, will be remade in Hindi, said a press release from Disney India, the holding company of UTV Motion Pictures. “We are really happy with ‘Yatchan’, which has already got the audience excited. The story of the movie is language agnostic and it lends itself very well to other audiences across the country. Thus we are really excited about remaking it in Hindi.” said Amrita Pandey, Vice President and Head of Marketing and Distribution,Disney India.
The statement also hinted changes to be made in the script to suit the Hindi audience – “Currently, we are working on the plan for the remake, but we are certain that we have a power-packed content with us that will be loved by one and all”
Yatchan, jointly produced by UTV and Vishnuvardhan films, is an action comedy about two characters, played by Arya and Krishna whose lives changes due to a coincidental decision. The movie also stars Swati Reddy, Deepa Sannidhi, Adil Hussain, Thambi Ramaiah, RJ Balaji and Ponvannan in supporting roles. Read our review of Yatchan here.
