Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja recently made waves with his declaration that he is now a ‘follower’ of Islam. While it is not clear whether he has converted to Islam, it is now being said that Yuvan has taken on a new name in keeping with his new faith. Sources tell us that while he will still be credited Yuvan Shankar Raja in the movies, the composer prefers being called ‘Mohammed Khaliq Yuvan’.
The spokesperson for Yuvan Shankar Raja denied these claims and stated, “this is a very personal issue for Yuvan and at this point, we’re not making a statement about this.”
