According to reports, it is said that the director will focus on the political and personal life of the former AIADMK chief. It is also said that the series would feature Ramya Krishnan in the role of Jayalalithaa. Popular Malayalam actor Indrajith will be seen in the role of MGR, say reports. The series will be a 30-hour long one and the makers will be paying approximately Rs 1.25 crore to the director for each episode. The makers are also planning to rope in Ranjith and Vinith for pivotal roles.

A report in Filmi Beat said that the shoot of the series is currently progressing at AVM Studios and at present,  sequences involving the popular interview between Simi Garewal and J Jayalalithaa are being shot. However, there is no official confirmation from the makers.
