Actress Keerthy Suresh’s Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn will begin shoot in August.

Directed by Amit Shah of Badhai Ho fame, the film is jointly produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta. Reports speculated that the biopic based on the life of the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Shoot is likely to be complete by the end of this year. T”film is indeed a biopic on a former Indian football team coach,” the actor’s manager confirmed to Silverscreen.

Meanwhile, photos of Keerthy Suresh with Boney Kapoor and his daughter Jhanvi Kapoor have been doing the rounds on social media. She recently joined the sets in Mumbai.

Keerthy Suresh has been busy with films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. According to various reports, Nagesh Kukunoor, the award-winning director, known for films such as Hyderabad Blues and Iqbal, is making a female-centric Telugu film starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead. This is yet to be confirmed.

A report by The News Minute says that the first schedule of the film wrapped recently. Keerthy Suresh has joined the sets in the second schedule. She was offered the role after an audition and trial shoot, when she impressed the director. Devi Sri Prasad is the composer. Reports are that Reliance Entertainment will be bankrolling the project.

Keerthy Suresh is shooting for another Telugu film by director Narendra Nath, produced by Mahesh S Koneru of East Coast Productions. Director Priyadarshan’s Marikkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham, starring Keerthy Suresh and Mohanlal, is also under production. Meanwhile, speculations are rife that she stars opposite Rajinikanth in AR Murugadoss’s Darbar, the shooting for which is progressing in Mumbai. Nayanthara plays a lead in the film, and Rajinikanth is said to have a dual role. If the speculations are true, Darbar will mark Keerthy Suresh’s second collaboration with AR Murugadoss after Sarkar.
