Keerthy Suresh will next be seen in the Telugu film Miss India, directed by Narendra Nath. This is her 20th film, and also stars Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra and others in important roles.
She released the teaser of the film today. It revealed her first-look and read, “In 2018 you saw her as Mahanati. In 2019, National Award winner Keerthy Suresh is Miss India.” She will be seen as a model and has reportedly reduced 15 kilos for the role.

The spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that initial stages of shooting is on and more details will be revealed soon.
The film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Bhanushree Mehra, Sumanth S, Poojitha Ponnada, Kamal Kamaraju and Nadiya, whose roles are yet to be announced. Music is by S Thaman, cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Vamsi P and editing by Thammi Raju. Mahesh Koneru will produce the film under East Coast Productions.
Keerthy will soon join the sets of her first Hindi film Maidaan with Ajay Devgan, whose first-look and title was released last week. The film is based on the Indian football team from 1952-62 and stars Ajay Devgn as the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Keerthy Suresh’s role is yet to be confirmed.

The team will travel to Jakarta, Rome and Melbourne for shoot soon, and the film is likely to wrap up by this year end and release next year.
Keerthy Suresh, who recently won the National Award for her performance in Mahanati, is currently also busy with a Telugu film with Nagesh Kukunoor, the director of Hyderabad Blues.
In Tamil, she has Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming production, also a women-centric film directed by newcomer Eashvar Karthic, and featuring a new cast and crew. Pre-production work for Mani Ratnam’s mega budget ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ adaptation is on and is likely to go on floors next year. Keerthy will reportedly be seen as Kunthavai Naachiyar in the film. The film also stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi and Telugu actor Mohan Babu among others in the lead.
