Lingaa is all set to release on December 12 this year, on the birthday of Superstar Rajinikanth. The actor, while speaking to a television channel outside the Mangalore International Airport, confirmed the news and said, “My health is fine. We are going to shoot in Shimoga now and the movie will release on my birthday.” The spokesperson for the film tells us that the team is shooting the climax portions in Shimoga and will be there for the better part of this month.
Starring Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha, the film is being helmed by KS Ravikumar and has the music of AR Rahman. Rockline Venkatesh is producing the big budget project. Sonakshi Sinha has finished shooting her portions in the flick.
Lingaa went on floors recently after a small pooja in Mysore, and the team camped out in Karnataka while filming some major sequences. Reports indicate that the team will shoot in Chennai soon, but there has been no official confirmation so far.
